Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana, where he paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel who bravely foiled a terrorist attack and rescued students and teachers.
The minister described the defenders of the college as “heroes of the nation". Upon his arrival, Naqvi was welcomed by Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South IG Major General Mehr Umar Khan.
During the visit, the interior minister met the Pakistan Army and FC personnel who carried out the rescue operation and prevented a tragedy. He also met the teachers and students of the cadet college, appreciating their remarkable courage, resilience, and high morale.

Naqvi said the bravery shown by the soldiers saved countless innocent lives, adding that the enemy wanted to stage an attack similar to the APS tragedy, but the security forces “sent the terroists to hell” by their swift action.
Detailed briefing on attack, rescue operation
Officials provided Mohsin Naqvi with a comprehensive briefing on the terrorist attack, the rescue efforts, and the steps taken to secure the area. He praised the officers and men of the Pakistan Army for their “unmatched courage and professionalism.”
The minister expressed shock at the attackers’ cruelty, saying: “These are not even terrorists — they are beasts with no connection to humanity. No religion in the world allows targeting children.”
Renovation of college announced
Mohsin Naqvi announced that Cadet College Wana will be renovated in the best possible way, ensuring improved facilities and a secure environment for cadets and staff.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Army and FC personnel who rescued the students and teachers are the true heroes of the nation.
On Nov 10, the security forces foiled a terrorist attack on the college, after terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Khawarij attempted to breach the college’s security perimeter, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to ISPR, the terrorists had launched a cowardly and heinous assault targeting the educational institution early Monday morning. The assailants tried to breach the perimeter security, but their plans were thwarted by the alert and professional response of security personnel deployed at the college.

In a desperate attempt to enter, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the main gate, causing its collapse and damaging nearby infrastructure.
Two terrorists killed; three cornered inside college
ISPR confirmed that two terrorists were eliminated after troops engaged the intruders with precision and courage, preventing further infiltration.
However, three remaining terrorists managed to enter the college premises. Two days later, the security sources announced that all militants involved in the attack were killed. The operation successfully neutralised a suicide bomber and four other attackers, while no student or staff member suffered harm.
All students and staff at the college were safely rescued. Security sources reported that morale among students and staff was high. The security forces conducted the operation with utmost caution and strategy. The Inspector General of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South personally supervised the operation at Cadet College Wana.
