Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel in Washington focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in security and law enforcement.
The discussion centered on illegal immigration, counter-terrorism strategies, and exchange programs for police officers.
During the meeting, Naqvi praised Patel’s professional approach and vision, calling the partnership mutually beneficial for both countries. He stressed that Pakistan values closer collaboration with the United States on pressing security challenges.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Naqvi wrote:
“Had an excellent meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel. We discussed cooperation on illegal immigration, counter-terrorism, and officer exchange programs. His professionalism and vision make him a great partner to work with.”
Part of PM Shehbaz’s US visit
The interior minister is accompanying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s delegation to the US. The visit has seen high-level engagements, including meetings between the Prime Minister and American leadership, where issues of regional security, economic relations, and broader bilateral cooperation were discussed.
Earlier, while addressing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s position on regional peace and global justice.
He said Pakistan had offered India an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam attack, but India rejected the proposal and violated Pakistan’s sovereignty. The Prime Minister highlighted the role of then-US President Donald Trump in mediating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India, saying Pakistan even nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his timely intervention.
PM on Palestine and terrorism
On the global stage, Shehbaz called for urgent action on Palestine, stressing that “Palestine can no longer remain under Israeli chains and must be freed with full force.”
Highlighting Pakistan’s sacrifices, he said the country had lost nearly 90,000 people in the war against terrorism. He vowed to continue operations against banned groups including the TTP, BLA, Fitna-ul-Khawarij, Majid Brigade, and Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
“The fight will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated,” the Prime Minister declared, underlining Pakistan’s commitment to combating extremism.
