The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection committee has finalised the national Test squad for the upcoming series against South Africa, following detailed discussions with the head coach and captain.
According to sources, the squad has already been sent for final approval, with an official announcement expected within the next two days.
Key selections and player discussions
Sources confirm that Mohammad Nawaz is being strongly considered for inclusion in the Test squad. Meanwhile, Saim Ayub’s poor form has sparked debate, with the selectors discussing the possibility of recalling Imamul Haq.
On the other hand, Naseem Shah is unlikely to be part of the squad due to concerns about his availability.
