The aftershocks of the POL price increase are continuing, as now Pakistan Railways (PR) has increased the fares of passenger trains by 5 percent.
The increase will be applicable from Tuesday (Sept 19).
A notification has been issued in this regard.
It is pertinent to note that Railways had also increased 5 percent on the previous increase in petroleum price.
Earlier, the Interim Railways Minister chaired a meeting of PR and directed that all residential units of Wapda meters be installed at all Pakistan Railways.
The minister also directed to resumption of the Sibbi-Harnoi railways track.
