A total of 469,545 Afghan nationals who were residing illegally in Pakistan have embarked on the journey of repatriation by January 16, 2024.

Among those departing, 616 Afghan citizens bid farewell to Pakistan on January 16, 2024. The group included 179 men, 124 women, and 313 children, all eager to return to their homeland.
The repatriation initiative, involving 38 vehicles carrying 68 families, signals a collaborative effort between the two nations to facilitate the safe and voluntary return of Afghan nationals to Afghanistan.
