Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi said on Saturday that he wanted to see Mohammad Rizwan as the T20I skipper instead of Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Addressing the fundraising event in line with the Shahid Afridi Foundation in Melbourne, Shahid Afridi said: “Shaheen Shah Afridi was mistakenly appointed as the T20I skipper.”
He lavished praise on Rizwan, saying, “Mohammad Rizwan is a fighter. I wanted to see him spearheading the national team in T20I format.”
Prominent among those who attended the fundraising event were Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf.
