The Lahore High Court has stopped the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from taking coercive measures against PTI activist and designer Khadijah Shah.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard the petition of Khadijah Shah.
The court passed the orders while hearing Shah's application against the FIA’s money laundering inquiry against her.
Khadijah’s lawyer, Sameer Khosa, said the FIA has not received any complaint in this regard, adding that this is not an FIR but a suo motu inquiry.
He further said that any inquiry is based on some information. There are five things that are out of the ordinary in this inquiry, the lawyer claimed, adding that none of the complainants came forward.

Khosa said his client, Khadijah Shah, got bail in four cases and was then arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). “We request that you grant a temporary stay on this inquiry,” he pleaded.
He also requested that the parties be prevented from detaining Khadijah Shah again.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 22.
On Dec 11, the fashion designer and social media activist was arrested by Quetta police on charges of murder and attempted murder, while her detention order was withdrawn by the Punjab government.
The Quetta police arrested Khadijah and the anti-terrorism court granted her two-day transit remand to the police.
