Veteran Pakistani actor Raju Jamil has made candid remarks about superstar Humayun Saeed, describing him as a "Romeo" and claiming he advised the actor to end his alleged romantic affairs after marriage.
Speaking during an appearance on a podcast, Raju Jamil said he had known Humayun Saeed for years and often acted as a mentor.
"I haven't seen anyone more of a Valentino or Romeo than Humayun Saeed," Jamil said. "There was a time when he had become quite a Romeo, and a new Juliet would visit him every day."
He further claimed that Humayun Saeed had several relationships not only before marriage but also after getting married.
"It was me who stopped him. I told him, 'You better behave.' I considered myself one of his elders," he said, adding that Humayun's parents had asked him to look after the actor during the early years of his career.
Despite the remarks, Jamil praised Humayun Saeed for supporting his career, saying the actor had given him several acting opportunities over the years.
How Humayun Saeed's production house started
Raju Jamil also recalled playing a role in the establishment of Humayun Saeed's production company.
According to him, he introduced businessman Ahmed Nasib to Humayun Saeed during a dinner meeting after Humayun expressed his desire to start a production house but lacked the necessary capital.
Jamil claimed Ahmed Nasib immediately agreed to finance the venture and handed Humayun Saeed a cheque worth Rs100 million (Rs10 crore), enabling him to launch his production company.
Humayun Saeed has not publicly responded to Raju Jamil's claims.
