The Federal Directorate of Education has issued a formal notification announcing holidays in federal educational institutions from March 16 to 31.
The closure of educational institutions was decided under the government’s austerity measures and fuel conservation campaign.
According to the notification, all examination-related activities and schedules will remain unchanged.
In Islamabad, directions have also been issued for all BS programme classes to move online with immediate effect.
50 per cent of the administrative staff in educational institutions will work under the work-from-home policy.
The notification applied to all federal government schools and colleges in Islamabad.
