Two police personnel were martyred and another was injured in a suicide attack at the Dajal inter-provincial check post in Bhakkar, officials confirmed.
According to details, Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Karim paid tribute to the sacrifice of Constables Faheem Abbas and Shehbaz Madni, expressing condolences and solidarity with the bereaved families.
The IG Punjab directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for injured Constable Arshad.
In his statement, Abdul Karim said the fallen officers embraced martyrdom in the line of duty while protecting the nation. He emphasized that Punjab Police stands firmly with the families of the martyrs and that their welfare remains a top priority.
He further stated that every member of Punjab Police remains steadfast in confronting extremist threats and safeguarding national security.
