India secured a 17-run victory over the Netherlands in a T20 World Cup encounter after successfully defending a competitive total of 193 runs.
Batting first, India posted 193 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Shivam Dube leading the charge with a top score of 66 runs. He was supported by Suryakumar Yadav, who contributed 34 runs, while Tilak Varma added 31 and Hardik Pandya chipped in with 30.
In response, the Netherlands fought hard in their chase of 194 but were restricted to 176 runs, falling short by 17 runs.
Indian bowler Varun Chakravarthy played a key role in the victory, claiming three crucial wickets to help seal the win for his side.
