The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the appeal seeking suspension of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's Toshakhana verdict.
Meanwhile in the cipher case, the court granted the prosecutor time to submit a detailed response to the government's appeal against the acquittal of PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
In the defamation case, notices were issued to the parties regarding Imran Khan's appeals against Shehbaz Sharif. The Punjab government withdrew appeals against the bail of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in three land cases.
Moreover, the court rejected the request by lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa to meet Imran Khan. Hashim Kakar remarked that such an order cannot be issued in a criminal case and that the power to take suo motu notice no longer remains with the court.
