President Asif Ali Zardari has called on the nation to unite against extremism and economic challenges, stressing that Pakistan can overcome political and financial pressures through collective effort and steadfast leadership.
Speaking at a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) meeting at Bilawal House in Lahore, Zardari emphasized the importance of unity, flexibility, and political dialogue amid national challenges. The session brought together local and provincial PPP leadership to discuss strategies for addressing pressing issues.
President Zardari highlighted that democracy remains the strongest source of justice and national harmony. He urged party workers and leaders to focus on patience, continuous effort, and constructive politics to address Pakistan’s economic and political challenges.
Focus on economic stability and agriculture
Zardari stressed the need for economic stability and strengthening agriculture as critical elements of national development. He noted that maintaining national sovereignty, integrity, and security has always been a cornerstone of the PPP’s policies.
Referencing the legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Zardari reaffirmed the party’s long-standing stance against threats from external and internal enemies. He assured that Pakistan will defeat extremism and terrorism with the unity of its people, standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.
