The First National Chief of Army Staff Wrestling Championship 2026 concluded successfully at Sialkot Sports Stadium.
The Under-17 and Under-19 contests of the championship reached their conclusion, bringing together leading young wrestlers from across the country. In the overall standings, Gujranwala’s team ‘Sher Punjab’ secured the championship title, while Peshawar’s team ‘Khyber Fighters’ finished in second place. A large number of spectators attended the final bouts, alongside victorious wrestlers from district, divisional and provincial levels.
The General Officer Commanding, who attended as chief guest, distributed medals and prizes among the successful athletes. On the occasion, wrestlers commended the Pakistan Army’s initiatives for the promotion of talent and expressed gratitude to the military leadership for organising the event.
Participants stated that they were deeply thankful to the military leadership for holding a successful championship and expressed hope that the Pakistan Army would continue to provide opportunities for emerging talent at the international level.
