Serial Guinness World Records breaker David Rush has reclaimed his lost title by balancing a chair on his chin for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Rush, from Idaho in the United States, had previously set the record for the longest duration balancing a chair on his chin at 1 hour and 8 minutes. He recently also made headlines for balancing a ladder on his chin for 19 minutes and 11 seconds.
However, another balance expert later surpassed his chair-balancing record by maintaining the feat for 1 hour and 19 minutes, taking the title from him.
Determined to regain the record, Rush revealed in a post on his website that he had spent the past several months specifically training to rebuild his neck endurance.
He said the challenge was physically demanding, as the record attempt places constant pressure on the jaw, neck, and upper spine. Once the chair is positioned, there is no moment of rest, and every passing second requires active control.
After reviewing the evidence submitted by Rush, Guinness World Records officially confirmed that the title has been awarded back to him.
