A man in the United States has set his sights on the Guinness World Records by folding 250 paper planes in just one hour - and proving that they can actually fly.
Richard De Freese from Texas, who first applied for the record two years ago, said he received official approval to attempt the record in December 2025 and carried out the attempt on a Saturday.
During the attempt, De Freese successfully folded 250 paper planes within the allotted time, surpassing the Guinness World Records target of 200 planes.
An official from Guinness World Records tested all the planes to confirm that they were capable of flight.
Speaking at the event, Richard De Freese said he had long aspired to break a world record and was thrilled to achieve this unique feat.
