Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has arrived in Riyadh to participate in the World Defence Show, where he met with Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Khawaja Asif described the event as a significant milestone for enhancing defence cooperation in the region.
Invited officially by the Saudi government, Khawaja Asif was welcomed by Pakistani Ambassador Ahmed Farooq upon arrival. During the event, he congratulated the Saudi leadership and the host defence minister on the successful organisation of the exhibition.
Highlighting Pakistan’s defence capabilities, Khawaja Asif said that the country’s defence equipment stood out at the show and is unmatched by any other participant. He added that Pakistan’s strong defence power has been further strengthened following historic victories against India.
The Defence Minister also noted that defence equipment would continue to constitute a major portion of Pakistan’s key exports, underscoring the nation’s growing role in regional and global defence markets.
