Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that the Basant festival will be held at Liberty Chowk on 7 February.
In a message on the social media, CM Maryam invited citizens of Lahore and across Punjab to join them in celebrating Basant at Liberty Chowk. She said that Basant is a festival of Punjab’s culture, joy and colours. The Punjab chief minister also shared the song 'Guddi Lahore Di Uddi' in connection with Basant.

Earlier, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb visited Mochi Gate in Lahore and spoke to shopkeepers. Maryam Aurangzeb said that the Punjab government’s preparations for a safe Basant have been completed. During the three-day Basant festival, free transport services will be provided. She said it is the duty of citizens to follow SOPs while celebrating Basant.
