With the approval of the Ministry of Interior, the National Forensic Agency has set fees for forensic services.
A notification has been issued detailing the new charges for various digital and forensic cases.
According to the notification, fees will now be charged for each forensic case based on its type. The fee for extracting data from locked or unlocked Android and iPhone devices has been set at Rs2,500 per case.
Data retrieval from damaged mobile phones will also cost Rs25 per case. The fee for obtaining data from smartwatches and classic mobile phones has been set at Rs2,000, while extracting data from SIM cards will cost Rs1,000 per case.
The fee for forensic analysis of video, audio, and images has been set at Rs2,000 per case. Extracting data from hard disks or memory devices will cost Rs3,000, while retrieving data from RAID systems has been set at Rs5,000.
Data recovery from damaged hard disks or memory devices will also cost Rs3,000. The fee for a complete forensic analysis and report is Rs10,000, and the fee for expert testimony in court is also set at Rs10,000 per case.
The National Forensic Agency stated that these fees will apply to all institutions and cases, and all relevant organizations have been formally informed.
