A surprising incident in China left locals amazed when a bamboo plant grew out of a streetlight. The unusual sight occurred in Shenchang District, Zhejiang Province, near the World Trade Plaza.
A thin bamboo stem somehow entered a small hole at the base of the lamp post and grew upward, eventually covering the streetlight.
Experts explained that bamboo can thrive even in dark conditions due to its strong and extensive root system, which draws water and nutrients from underground stems.
The remarkable scene was captured on video by a local resident named Jia, who was passing by with his children. After being shared on social media, the video quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention and fascination from online users.
This rare natural occurrence highlights bamboo’s resilience and adaptability, surprising both locals and social media audiences alike.
