Citizens in Russia were left astonished after seeing two suns in the sky at the same time.
This unusual and remarkable sight was witnessed on Russia’s Sakhalin Island, and residents captured it on camera. According to international media reports, the phenomenon is known as a “sun dog”.
Experts said that, due to temperatures falling far below freezing, ice crystals formed in the atmosphere, causing the sun to appear to rise in two places.
This means that, in reality, there were not two suns; according to the laws of nature, there was only one.
It is worth noting that a temperature of minus 14 degrees Celsius was recorded on Sakhalin Island today, and it is expected to fall further to minus 23 degrees Celsius.
