In the rural area of Nowshera Jadid, near Bahawalpur, a landowner cut off the front legs of a buffalo after it entered his crop field.
A case was registered against the accused, Manzoor Hussain, on the complaint of the buffalo’s owner. The complainant said the buffalo broke free from its rope and entered the fields. On seeing this, Manzoor Hussain struck the animal with an axe and cut off its two front legs. He also attacked the buffalo’s hind legs and body.
Police said veterinary doctors were providing medical treatment to the buffalo, while the investigation against Manzoor Hussain continued.
