Nadra has launched a new identity card data monitoring app, allowing citizens to see where and for what purpose their identification data has been used.
The Nadra said the app enables citizens, for the first time, to monitor the use of their own identity data. The platform provides a complete record of data verification, clearly showing which institution carried out the verification, when it took place and the nature of the request.
According to officials, the initiative introduces an effective check and balance against the misuse of citizens’ identity data and supports efforts to curb data leaks and unauthorised verification. They added that the app strengthens privacy and data security, while discouraging cybercrime and fraudulent verification cases.
