Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that the party has no contact with anyone at present, including the establishment.
Speaking to the media, Barrister Gohar Khan said the party’s position was absolutely clear and unambiguous. He said that if the government shakes hands with one hand and strikes with the other, the situation will not improve.
He said PTI was trying once again to meet the Chief Justice of Pakistan, but he was currently busy. He added that meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan were their constitutional and legal right.
Barrister Gohar said that Allama Raja Nasir and Mahmood Khan Achakzai now carried a major responsibility, and the PTI believed they would play an effective role. He termed the notification of opposition leaders as a positive step.
He said both opposition leaders delivered good messages in their speeches. He added that if the government shakes hands with one hand and uses a fist with the other, conditions will not improve. If the government resorts to force, he said, people will once again take to protest.
He said the PTI would hold protests on February 8 in all circumstances.
