A three-member committee has been established to review the affairs of private Hajj operators.
Sources divulged on Tuesday that Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yusuf and Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik will serve as members of the committee. The prime minister has constituted the committee, headed by Rana Sanaullah, to assess the affairs and capacity of private Hajj operators.
The three-member committee will conduct a detailed review of the financial and administrative capacity of private Hajj operators. The committee will prepare capacity-related proposals through an international third party within ten days.
Sources privy to the development also said that the eligibility of private Hajj operator companies will be reviewed for the period 2027 to 2030, and future policy will be determined in light of the committee’s recommendations.
