In the Khar area of Bajaur district, security forces conducted an operation based on secret intelligence, killing five Indian-supported terrorists.
During the intense exchange of fire, 36-year-old Major Adeel Zaman from Dera Ismail Khan was martyred.
According to ISPR, the security forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ hideout during the operation. Major Adeel Zaman displayed exceptional courage in confronting the enemy and sacrificed his life defending the homeland.
The slain terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession during the operation. Clearance and search operations are ongoing in the area due to the potential presence of other terrorists.
The ISPR noted that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their uninterrupted counter-terrorism efforts to ensure the safety of the region.
