Questions have arisen within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over party decisions as the party’s parliamentary group in the Senate expressed reservations over the reconstitution of the political committee.
During a meeting of the Senate parliamentary party, chaired by Ali Zafar, members said that only the coordinator from the Senate had been given representation on the political committee, which they termed as insufficient. They called for senior-level representation from the Senate on the committee.
The meeting was attended by Raja Nasir Abbas, Awn Abbas, Zeeshan Khanzada, Faisal Javed, Falak Naz and Fozia Arshad. Approval was also given to file a reference seeking the disqualification of Saifullah Abro.
The meeting carried out an advance review of the strategy for the upcoming Senate session next month. It was also decided to approach the higher judiciary to seek a meeting with the PTI founder.
