The district administration has announced a public holiday in Islamabad on 26 December.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the holiday has been declared on account of the visit of a high-level foreign delegation. Copies of the notification have been sent to all relevant departments. The notification said that it will not apply to the ICT administration, CDA, police, and government hospitals.
It is pertinent to note that United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will visit Pakistan on December 26. Preparations are underway for a reception befitting the distinguished guest, and a grand welcome will be accorded upon his arrival in Pakistan.
