The security forces killed 13 militants during two separate operations against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the operations against Indian-backed extremist militants were conducted on December 12 and 13 in Mohmand and Bannu.
The army spokesperson said that in Mohmand, seven militants were killed during an operation based on intelligence, following heavy exchange of fire, while in Bannu, a further six militants were eliminated in a separate operation.
The ISPR said that clearance operations continue in the area, taking into account the possible presence of militants. Operations under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative by security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue to rid the country of terrorism.
