'Gemini app UX 2.0' in the works
Logan Kilpatrick, the lead product for Google AI Studio and Gemini API, confirmed on social media that the company is making a "huge investment" in what he calls Gemini App UX 2.0. This statement was made in response to user criticisms highlighting that Gemini's current front-end interface lags behind the polished experience of OpenAI's ChatGPT.
While the current Gemini app on Android and the web is functional, users have long reported that it feels clunky and fails to easily surface the model's advanced capabilities. A redesigned "2.0" interface aims to streamline everyday interactions, making features like file analysis and multi-modal inputs more accessible and intuitive.
Finally, a native macOS app
