A camel collided with a car in the city of Jodhpur, breaking through the roof and becoming trapped inside, leaving both the animal and the driver injured.
Video footage and photographs show the camel’s head and upper body breaking through the car’s roof and windscreen, with the animal struggling to free itself. According to eyewitnesses, the camel suddenly appeared on the road, leaving the driver no time to brake. The vehicle sustained severe damage, with the bumper, bonnet and windscreen completely destroyed.
The force of the collision caused the car’s roof and front glass to cave in, trapping the camel inside.
Local residents rushed to the scene after the accident, removing the injured driver and providing first aid before transferring him to Jodhpur. Reports indicate that the driver, Ramsingh, suffered serious injuries.
The camel remained trapped inside the vehicle for nearly two hours. Authorities and local residents eventually freed the animal through a combined effort, using machinery to cut parts of the car.
