The flour mills association has withdrawn its decision to halt the supply of flour in the twin cities and announced that it will continue to cooperate with the administration.
Representatives of the Punjab Flour Mills Association (PFMA) attended a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where detailed discussions were held regarding issues in the supply of flour.
During the meeting, the administration assured the flour mills association that the ban on bran would be lifted and flour permits would be issued.
According to the statement, it was decided that wheat permits for Islamabad’s flour mills would be restored immediately, and the process of issuing permits to Rawalpindi’s flour mills would also commence.
Furthermore, the additional deputy commissioner has assured that existing FIRs and heavy fines against the mills would be reviewed.
Following the meeting, the flour mills association stated that, in view of the government’s assurances, the supply of flour would continue as usual.
