Pakistan’s head coach Mike Hesson has said that the national side remains in a building phase and is steadily moving towards improvement.
Speaking after the match, Hesson said that during play he had sent a message to the team, urging the players not to feel pressured. He added that the side displayed fine cricket in both the T20 and One Day formats, earning notable victories.
According to the head coach, several players were tested to strengthen the lower order. He observed that Abrar learned a great deal during training, which was clearly reflected in his performance on the field today.
Praising the fans in Faisalabad, Hesson said that all players greatly enjoyed the enthusiasm and support shown by the crowd. He expressed delight at seeing the stadium filled to capacity throughout the three matches.
He said that Babar Azam is in excellent form and that he expects even stronger performances from him in the upcoming fixtures.
Hesson has made it clear that in the forthcoming tri-series, Hassan Nawaz will be left out of the squad, while Abdul Samad will be included.
