A total of 27 new dengue cases were reported in Islamabad during the past 24 hours, with 64 patients currently under treatment in various hospitals across the city.
According to official data, 20 cases emerged from rural areas, while 7 were confirmed in urban localities. During the same period, inspection teams checked 34,556 sites across the capital. Anti-dengue measures were carried out at several locations, including spraying at 1,399 sites and fogging at 914 points.
Larvae were found at 213 places during surveillance activities. The district administration said field teams are continuing daily monitoring at identified hotspots.
It warned that any violation of dengue prevention guidelines would result in sealing of premises and strict legal action.
