Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Dr. Farhatullah Babar tweeted and cleared the air about an X—formally Twitter—account impersonating and circulating false and baseless claims under their name.
The fabricated X account tweets falsely assert that Dr Farhatullah has joined another political party. Dr Farhatullah Babar expressed profound disappointment and condemnation.
He tweeted: “A fake Twitter account is circulating on my name with the absurd, false claim that I have joined some other political party. I am saddened and strongly condemn this vile and nefarious act, if someone has a good understanding, he should take this idea out of his heart for his own good.”
The PPP leader also filed a report to X.
Dr Farhatullah said he has been contesting for Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) seats and baseless allegation are being levelled against him.
