In Jhang, an elderly man lost his life after being swept away by the strong waves of the Chenab River.
Rescue teams failed to reach the spot in time.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Manzoor Hussain, had gone to check on his house near the protective embankment when he fell from the roof of his dilapidated house and was swept away by floodwaters.
Family members said they kept calling for help, but no rescue team arrived at the scene.
