The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced on Saturday a record recovery of more than Rs547 billion in the first six months of 2025.
According to NAB’s latest performance report, movable and immovable assets worth Rs33.532 billion have been handed over to federal and provincial departments as well as financial institutions. The bureau recovered Rs453 billion alone during the April to June quarter, contributing to the half-year total recovery of Rs547 billion.
Millions returned to victims of fraud
The bureau reported returning funds to 12,611 victims involved in various fraud cases.

For instance, Rs3.2 billion recovered in the Eden case was distributed among 11,880 victims, while Rs3 billion from a major cheating case in Rawalpindi was allocated to 17,214 affected individuals.
Significant asset recoveries across pakistan
NAB Lahore recovered eight properties worth Rs9.3 billion linked to the Pak Arab Housing case. NAB Rawalpindi handed over valuable land worth Rs29 billion in Islamabad to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
In Sindh, NAB Sukkur recovered 127 kanals and 15 marla land belonging to the Sindh Education and Literacy Department and land worth Rs25 billion belonging to the National Highway Authority.
