Another case of the Congo virus has been confirmed in Karachi, following diagnostic testing at a private hospital.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the patient, identified as 33-year-old Muhammad Irfan, was admitted with symptoms including fever and bleeding from the mouth, according to medical staff. He was brought from Cattle Colony, Landhi.
Hospital authorities stated that the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU). His condition is currently reported as improving.
Health officials have advised the public to avoid contact with infected animals and to observe appropriate safety measures to reduce the risk of transmission.
Last month, two deaths related to the Congo virus were reported in Karachi.
