The Adata GoldenSummoner has earned the title of the world’s most expensive gaming keyboard, with a price tag of approximately $10,000.
This luxurious version of the popular XPG Summoner keyboard is distinguished by its lavish 24-karat gold plating, covering the entire surface of the device.
Crafted on an aluminum base, the keyboard is notably heavier than conventional models. Only six units of this exclusive edition have been produced, making it a rare collector’s item intended as VIP gifts.
Technically, the GoldenSummoner mirrors the features of the standard XPG Summoner. It includes 104 keys, customizable RGB backlighting, dedicated media controls, and a volume roller.
While the production cost is estimated at $2,500, the retail price has been set at $10,000, reflecting its premium materials and exclusivity.
However, users have reported practical drawbacks. The gold surface reportedly causes a chilling sensation to the hands, which some find uncomfortable during extended gaming sessions.
Additionally, the gold plating affects the visibility of the keys’ labels, making letters, symbols, and numbers harder to read, potentially hindering gameplay.
The Adata GoldenSummoner exemplifies how luxury and gaming technology intersect, though it remains more of a statement piece than a practical tool for most gamers.
