The repatriation of Pakistani Hajj pilgrims will officially begin tonight, with the first post-Hajj flight scheduled to arrive in Islamabad in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the first flight carrying 307 pilgrims will depart from Jeddah at 11:50pm on Tuesday and is expected to land at Islamabad International Airport at 3am on June 11.
The large-scale return operation will be conducted over the next month, concluding on July 10, by which time all pilgrims will have returned to Pakistan.
On the first day of repatriation, eight Hajj flights are scheduled to land across major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, and Karachi. Pilgrims returning on these flights performed Hajj under the government scheme.
A total of 342 flights have been planned to bring back pilgrims who travelled under the official Hajj program. The operation will be carried out by a mix of airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, and various private carriers.
Officials said the government is working closely with Saudi authorities and airlines to ensure a smooth and safe return for all Pakistani pilgrims.
