Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani on Sunday lavished his praise on the Pakistan Armed Forces for their befitting response to India.
Speaking to media at Expo 2025 in Lahore, Gillani praised the military’s role during recent tensions, adding that a message of peace had been sent to the world. He congratulated the entire nation on the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. He stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces won the war on behalf of the whole nation.
“When I was Prime Minister, I raised the issue of Indian interference in Pakistan,” he said. “We convinced the world of India’s involvement.”
He stressed the need for national unity, saying, “The matter has gone beyond politics; it now concerns national security.” He urged the government to provide relief to the public in the upcoming budget.
