With temperatures soaring, residents turned to traditional cold desserts to stay energised.
Many gathered at falooda stalls, enjoying the dessert topped with ice and kulfi for relief from the scorching heat.
To beat the intense heat, citizens in Peshawar turned to traditional drinks and desserts. Falooda parlours in the city saw heavy footfall as people visiting markets for shopping and business stopped by to cool down.
A local said falooda helps them cope with the summer heat and gives instant relief.
According to the vendor, he prepares around 14 maunds of falooda daily during summer, which often proves insufficient due to high demand.
The seller mentioned that due to demand, they struggle to meet the daily needs despite large preparation.
Exhausted by the heat, customers not only enjoy falooda on-site but also pack it to take home for their families.
