In a disturbing incident that has sparked outrage across social media, young students at a government school in Wazirabad were allegedly forced to perform manual labour under the blazing sun instead of receiving an education.
According to reports, students from second and third grades at Government Girls High School Moti Bazar were made to unload a trolley full of mud during school hours. Shocking footage has surfaced showing children in school uniforms toiling in extreme heat — a sight that has drawn sharp criticism from the public and child rights activists.
School sources revealed that the administration forced the children to do the labour due to the absence of the labourers, who were reportedly on leave. "There were no workers available today, so just a little mud was poured by the children," a school official stated, seemingly downplaying the severity of the situation.
However, eyewitnesses and locals described the incident as blatant child labour, stressing that the children were clearly suffering due to the intense heat and physical burden.
"This is completely unacceptable. Instead of sitting in classrooms and learning, these little kids are being used like labourers," said a resident who recorded the video footage.
