The sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan — Qasim and Suleman — have broken their silence, expressing deep concern over their father's prolonged imprisonment.
In their first public statement since Imran Khan’s arrest, the brothers said they never imagined their father would remain in jail for such a long time. "Things are going from bad to worse. We are left with very few options now, and we’ve decided that speaking publicly is the only way forward," said Qasim Khan.
They highlighted what they described as inhumane conditions Imran Khan is facing behind bars and claimed he has been denied basic human rights. "Some of the charges against him could even carry the death penalty," Qasim stated.
The brothers said they now hope to generate international pressure for their father’s release and are appealing directly to the United States. “Who better than Trump to pay attention to this issue? We want to reach out to the U.S. President and ask for help,” Qasim added.
He further emphasized that they have exhausted all legal avenues and followed every possible course of action for Imran Khan’s release. “We’re fighting to free our father and restore democracy in Pakistan. I don’t believe he would ever agree to a deal in exchange for his release,” he concluded.
