Speaking to the media following the meeting, Aleema Khan said, “We met our brother after two months. Only three lawyers were permitted to attend the meeting. During the conversation, the PTI founder discussed the current political situation, and we informed him that the nation is very pleased with him.”
According to Aleema Khan, the PTI founder remarked that swift responses are necessary during wartime. “Modi harbours intense hatred for Pakistan and is likely very angry at the moment. He may commit another blunder,” he reportedly said.
She further conveyed that he warned of a false flag operation carried out by India in occupied Kashmir, urging the armed forces and the nation to remain on high alert.
Aleema added that the PTI founder criticised the trial of civilians in military courts, calling it a consequence of the 26th Constitutional Amendment. “In no democratic country are civilians tried in military courts,” he reportedly stated.
Regarding Junaid Akbar, she said the PTI founder left the decision to him about which position he wishes to hold. “If Junaid Akbar can also manage the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), there’s no issue. But my priority remains the movement, not the PAC. He has been assigned the most critical responsibilities,” Aleema said.
– Barrister Gohar calls for national reeconciliation –
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, while speaking to the media, echoed the call for internal harmony: “If a ceasefire has been achieved with India, there should also be one amongst ourselves.”
He added that the cycle of political cases and arbitrary arrests must come to an end. “For the sake of national unity, the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi must be released. The leader of the country’s largest political party should no longer be kept in jail,” he asserted.
Barrister Gohar also confirmed the resignation of PAC Chairman Junaid Akbar. He noted that although the resignation has not yet been received physically, it was likely submitted in accordance with the PTI founder’s instructions.
