Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has granted principle approval for establishing thalassemia centers in every division of the province. The announcement came during a Department of Health and Population Welfare meeting.
At the beginning of the session, the Chief Minister congratulated participants on the success of Operation Bunyan Marsoos (Solid Structure). "The success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos has given the nation new confidence and instilled a fresh spirit of national unity," Maryam Nawaz stated.
The Chief Minister highlighted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's contributions to national security, saying, "Nawaz Sharif made the country unconquerable by conducting nuclear tests."
During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz requested a comprehensive plan to ensure the supply of quality blood for patients across Punjab. In addition to approving thalassemia centers for every division, the provincial government made a policy decision to implement an effective central monitoring system for healthcare services.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to complete the revamping of hospitals as soon as possible, emphasizing the importance of timely healthcare improvements across the province.
