In the newly released photograph, Pope Francis is seen seated in a hospital chapel, facing away from the camera, after celebrating Mass with other priests. The Holy See Press Office stated that he had concelebrated the Eucharist on Sunday morning.

Although the pope has been receiving oxygen as part of his treatment, the image suggests that he is now breathing on his own. However, he has yet to make any public appearances since his hospitalisation.

This is not the first time Pope Francis has faced health challenges in recent years. He has struggled with various medical issues, including knee problems that have limited his mobility.
