In a Supreme Court hearing, the constitutional bench dismissed a petition regarding the electronic voting system, declaring it ineffective.
The Election Commission’s Director-General (Law) stated that the system was used in the 2018 by-elections, and a report had been submitted to Parliament.
Justice Jamal Mandokhel emphasized that such matters should be addressed in Parliament, urging the Senate Committee to take it up.
He questioned why the hearing continued despite the case being concluded, stressing the need for correction.
