The Federal Finance Ministry has announced that salaries and pensions for government employees and pensioners belonging to the Christian community will be disbursed on December 20.
In a gesture of goodwill ahead of Christmas, this decision ensures that Christian employees can make necessary preparations for Christmas, which is celebrated on December 25, in line with traditions observed worldwide.
The ministry has issued directives to the Controller General of Accounts, Accountant General Revenue, and Military Accountant to make arrangements for the payment of December salaries and pensions ahead of time. Correspondence has been shared with the relevant departments to ensure smooth execution of the decision.
"Arrangements should be made for timely payment of salaries and pensions to employees," says the correspondence.
