Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan has filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court, challenging various measures taken against his party, which he claims infringe upon fundamental rights.
The petition calls for a judicial inquiry to investigate these actions and the alleged misuse of authority.
In his plea, the PTI founder has requested that a panel of three senior Supreme Court judges be assigned to investigate what he describes as "anti-PTI measures," arguing that these actions violate the constitutionally guaranteed rights of citizens and PTI members.
He also seeks a court order to curb the alleged misuse of Section 144, which has reportedly been used to restrict party activities and gatherings.
Furthermore, Khan also appeals for a halt to arrests under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance, which has been employed in detaining PTI members and supporters.
